When registering a .uk domain through Domain Vault, you enter into an agreement with Nominet, the official registry operator. Domain Vault serves as your channel partner and representative in all registry communications. Importantly, the domain is registered directly in your name — not ours.
The complete terms governing your registration are available at nominet.uk/go/terms
Domain registration grants you usage rights for a specified period. This does not constitute permanent ownership — if you don’t renew before expiration, the domain becomes available for others to register. Please review Nominet’s terms thoroughly before submitting your registration, paying particular attention to sections covering personal data processing.
Pricing
Annual registration and renewal fees for .uk domain names are £7.50. Domain Vault applies no transfer fees should you choose to move your domain to another provider.
Renewal Notifications
For domains without automatic renewal enabled, we follow this notification schedule:
- 30 days before expiry: Initial email reminder sent
- 10 days before expiry: Telephone follow-up attempted (where a number is registered)
- Final notice: Additional email reminder plus two further contact attempts before the deadline
If you’ve opted for automatic renewal, charges will simply appear on your subsequent invoice.
Registry Complaints
Nominet maintains a formal complaints procedure for concerns about how Domain Vault manages your registration or potential breaches of the registrar agreement
Domain Disputes
Any disputes concerning .uk domain ownership are resolved through Nominet’s Dispute Resolution Service Policy and Procedure
